Hi,
how can I synchronize applePhotos with my Synology NAS?

hardware:
- 2 x macBook PRO M2max
- 1 x macStudio M2max
- 1 x Synology DS923+

software:
- all software is up to date

problem:
Whenever I synchronize the computers with the SynologyDriveClient the librarys gets destroyed on each device.

What can I do to keep the libraries and images up to date on all computers? That was never a problem with the apple iCloud, but I will change to my private Cloud on the Synology for security reasons.

Synology Photos are great but there is no option to edit the images, that's why I still need applePhotos.

I'm looking to get my first NAS. I need to store our movie library which has been spread on a several HDD up to 2tb. We have lots of family pictures on a HDD and our phones (iOS and Android) we'd like to back up some where.
I'd like to use cameras CCTV or something around our house.
I'm interested in web development, and need to use virtual machines.
My primary interest in Synology ds1621+ with 2x22tb at the start, then M.2s and RAM upgrade.
Or Ugreen 8bays with 40% off and shipped from USA to Australia via myus.com.
I'm scared of QNAP because of their security issues.
What can you recommend to me?

I had to replace the router in my home, and now Synology Assistant can't find my 920+ Please help!

I'm new to the group and thank you in advance for any input here.

I'm considering upgrading from my QNAP TS-469PRO due to 1) it is no longer supported by QNAP, 2) security issues with QNAP relative to Synology, and 3) the prospect of moving to a more user-friendly operating system. I've watched numerous nascompares videos and have decided the Synology DS1522+ may be the optimal solution, but had a few questions. Note that my use case is for backups of our Macbook Pro and Dell laptop data (my spouse is a Realtor and operates her business from home and I'm retired, but with many photos and videos).

What I'm considering is a DS1522+ with 32GB RAM (2x Synology RAM DDR4 ECC Unbuffered SODIMM 16GB D4ES01-16G, Synology E10G22-T1-Mini 10GbE Network Upgrade Module, and 5 x Seagate Exos X16 ST16000NM003G 16TB 7200 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drives, 512E/4KN, SED. I understand that the Seagate drives are not on the Synology compatibility list, but have seen enough videos to know this probably isn't an issue. Since most of the use of this device will be for backup, I'd deferring the purchase of NVMe at this point.

Questions: 

1) do you see any issues with the choices I've made, especially the inclusion of SED drives?
2) do you agree with my deferral of NVMe?
3) given that the DS1522+ is a 2022 model, what is the estimated support window for this model?
3) any other advice or considerations?

Where can I find the new NT drive?

Just purchased DS1522+ with additional memory and NVMe modules.  Have looked in the documentation and tried searching here, but can't seem to find an answer to my quick question.

When everything arrives is it best to do the setup of the 1522+ first and then add the additional memory or modules, of can I install the extras before the initial setup?   Does it make any difference ??

Google drive mostly for sharing

pixieset or
shootproof
For proofing. I can’t see much about proofing though for NAS systems where online where a client can make a favorite selection with stars or hearts.
