I found this offer on Kickstarter that seems to good to be true,
can you tell me anything about it's validity?

Hi there,
I currently have an old QNAP TS-251A with 8GB RAM, and 2x 4TB drives in RAID 1. I have run out of storage space, and am looking to upgrade to larger capacity drives, as well as a faster NAS as I'm finding the TS251A just can't keep up these days.
I primarily use the NAS to back up photos, documents, etc. In the past, I was streaming Plex 1080p, but it just wasn't coping with anything above that.
I was thinking of upgrading to 8-12GB of storage, and I think the QNAP TS-264 looks good, albeit expensive (in Australia).
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
Hope you are well. I'm contacting you as I have a bit of a dilemma and particular needs. I'm trying to find a NAS motherboard for my build. I am looking for something that has the following:
10gbe (onboard or via pcie card)
6+ SATA ports
A seven segment display/DEBUG LED/postcode on the board
ECC memory support
A power and reset button on the motherboard itself
A socketed CPU would also be nice for upgrade purposes if needed
Micro ATX form factor for the Silverstone CS382 case
I don't really care about the price if I'm honest.
The motherboard that came close to what I'm looking for is the ASUS WS W680M with the only thing missing for me being the power and reset button that isn't present on the board.
Figured I'd reach out just in case you had any ideas. No worries if not!
Thanks very much!

Hi all,
Just bought in the Amazon spring sale a F8-plus.
Thankfully not got much data on there yet, but it doesnt appear to be recognising my accounts via the MacOS TNAS-PC software.
Nor can I open the web page on Safari/Firefox/
But I can connect and access my data (busy copying/moving it off the NAS before I have to consider a rest) via filemanager.
This seems a tad odd...
Oh I'm rather new here - must browse these forums more...
Anyway have a good Saturday

Hello! I'm Pau!
My father and I are in the process of purchasing our first NAS, but we still have a few uncertainties about which model to choose.
As "semi-professional photographers," our primary goal is to use the NAS to store and manage our RAW files, and edit them through Lightroom. We also want the ability to access and work on our files remotely. This is our main focus right now, but we’re aware of the many other features a NAS offers, and once we get this set up, we’d love to explore other options like Synology Photos.
We’re leaning towards a Synology NAS because of its user-friendly interface, but we’re debating between the DS923+ and DS1522+ models. We’ve also heard about some promised updates—should we wait for those, or would it be better to go ahead with one of these models now?
For storage, we plan to start with two 10TB or 12TB HDDs, using one for redundancy. As our storage needs grow, we’ll add more drives.
What do you think? Which NAS would you recommend for our use case?
Thank you in advance!

TLDR: Can I combine three drives into one storage pool and RAID it with an equal sized drive? Then setup a cloud service to offsite backup select folders.
I have a TerraMaster F4-210 NAS I have previously used for simple media storage along with a 6tb USB drive for my Kodi. I have recently purchased a 12tb drive and I have three other drives (6tb+5tb+1tb) equaling 12tb. I would like to combine the three drives into one storage pool and mirror it with the 12tb drive. When I attempt to do this, I cannot see where to format the drives and they are much smaller than their capacity. Not sure what I am doing wrong here.
My important data is in the cloud as an archive. I would like to use a cloud service (Google, Mega, Box, etc) to backup offsite in case my server is compromised (which has happened in the past).
