Hi, I am wanting to use a Terramaster F8 Plus NAS to run my Plex Server, a Torrent server and backup cloud for mine, and my wife’s iPhones.
Could you please recommend the best hard drives for this NAS.
Please note that I intend to start with purchasing 3 hard drives and then building up to the 8 drives in the future.

NAS Drive for home and small office of less than 5 employees |

Hi,
I'm starting my architecture firm, currently working from home but envisage having an employee within the next 5 years.
I would like to place all my own professional (5TB) personal files (4tb) and work files on a NAS. It is fine to keep both on same hard drive, I can just regulate who has permission to use the files.
This should be backed up on another hard drive within the NAS and then I will have an online solution, probably Backblaze as I already have it.
Please can help outline what I need based on the above.
I am tempted by the Synology DS925+ despite all the recent noise because despite others thinking me a nerdy, I am not really and I believe I would really appreciate the simple UI of the Synology system. And when will it actually be released? I thought it was meant to be today?
Cheers,
Ned

Expanding TRAID Pool: 24 TB Drive with Existing 18 TB Drives |

Hi there,
I have a TerraMaster F4-423 with 3×18 TB HDDs already installed and configured as a single pool.
The system is set up using the BTRFS file system and TRAID, and I believe the pool is configured with single-drive parity, as I originally started with only two drives when I first set up the NAS.
I wasn't able to get another 18 TB drive, so I opted for a 24 TB HDD instead.
Now, I'd like to add the 24 TB drive to the existing pool (which is why I chose TRAID back then) to expand the usable storage.
Can I simply add the larger 24 TB drive to the pool, let it synchronize, and expect everything to work properly—perhaps not gaining the full 24 TB, but instead around 18 TB of usable space, as I assume?
Thanks to anyone taking the time to answer and help!
(Apologies if I'm confusing "pool" and "volume"—I'm not the most advanced NAS user.)

Optimize QuMagie iOS |

Hello! New NAS setup, primarily to replace icloud for family. I am accessing QuMagie from tailscale, since I still want to view photos and videos away from home.
Videos in particular have a lag/buffering time. What would you recommend to optimize speed? Accessing on PC via LAN seems quick enough
1.Would an SSD cache help?
2. Would migrating the app to SSD help? (do I need specific size to ensure this works)
3. Open to other options, I'm not experienced with docker, but can try to learn if its specifically a QuMagie issue

Do you have an updated video, or compatibility list for the RAM for the synology 1821+ as a lot of the RAM listed here is no longer available. Thank you in advance for your help.
