Safe and cool transportation for editing in a trailer/caravan

#1
A UGreen DXP6800 system will be used for editing a low-budget 7-part streaming series inside a small trailer/caravan. Complications:
- Need to transport NAS + battery + Apple Studio
- Cannot put the any of these 3 items in the trailer – need to be outside the trailer with cables fed inside
- We are in rural northern New Mexico with many rough dirt roads; hauling trailer with a Honda CR-V
Request: An affordable solution to safely transport the NAS system + Studio + battery without being smashed to bits by rough terrain and that will keep the NAS cool in hot New Mexico weather
Thus, a “cushioned” means of transportation that also allows for cooling to avoid overheating.
We considered a cooler with freezable inserts (not actual ice), but: a) concerned about condensation, b) would not allow for venting unless you leave it open or punch a hole in it, which would prevent cooling

Here are some case types that work very well for this kind of mobile editing environment.

Nanuk and HPRC rugged cases are the most popular for film crews because they are waterproof, dustproof and built to handle rough travel. Models like the Nanuk 950, 955 or 960 or the HPRC 2800W have strong shells, wheels for easier transport, and you can add custom or pick and pluck foam to keep your NAS and Studio firmly locked in place during bumps and vibration.

Another option is the MAX or RoseCase ProSecure lines. These are slightly more affordable but still highly protective. They allow you to choose padded dividers or dense foam interior layouts that will keep everything cushioned without blocking ventilation.

If the budget is tight you can build your own solution. Many people use a standard rugged tool case or storage box and then line it with high density camera foam. You simply shape the foam to fit the NAS, battery and Studio so they sit firmly without movement. Then you can add small ventilation holes along the top or side and place a quiet USB fan inside to keep airflow moving. As long as the case is kept shaded and not fully sealed, heat will not accumulate.
