There are a few things you want to achieve when setting up a firewall.
By default, you want to block everyone
You would then decide what services need to be accessible from the outside world and what is for local access only
Here is a list of the ports Synology use https://kb.synology.com/en-global/DSM/tu...y_services
Things like Admin panel and SMB and other services will need to be enabled either for a dedicated LAN port or a specific internal IP range.
