Love your channel. Thanks so much for the in depth reviews.
Need a private cloud solution to back up a family of iphones. I got a DS220J and seems to work, but the web interface is horribly slow for 'moments'. Would the 220+ be sufficient? We have 3 iphones need to back up and would like to access the images/vids on computer which is why a snappy web interface is a must. Must I go with the 720+ or higher ?
I'm a linux hobbyist and don't mind doing techie stuff, but have no time, so I'm leaning toward Synology since it seem to be the most straight forward based on the research I've done.

TS-453D with 18TB HDDs? |

Hi, thanks for your tremendously helpful videos on youtube. I am wondering if you can tell me how often Qnap increases the supported size of hard drives in their units and firmware. I know they have an approved list and there are no 18TB drives on that list currently. I am wondering if I should just keep these drives that I purchased and wait or if there is some reason that it will simply never happen with the TS-453D. It has been hard to find this information anywhere and Qnap won't commit to it NOT working, they just say it is untested and unsupported at this time.

Hi i enjoy your review of nas units. I am trying to build a home media server and as i do not have a lot of money i hope to build it over time. my question is . can i add more disks to the same volume or do i have to create a new volume every time i add a new disk. I was planning to start with 3 10 tb disks in a raid 6 and add more drives when i can afford . is this possible on the f5 221 terramaster. thank you for your assistance

Wondering which NAS to buy. I need it for private and small business. I use a lot of apple products and want to back up pictures from all of them. This is really important. Also use som windows products for business. Here its crucial with security. Want if possible to be able to have multiple backups if possible. Sizewise My iMac is 3 TB and then I have all these iPhones and stuff. And in addition my business pc, but its not that big yet. Im also concerned about noise. Want it as quiet as possible. Also want it to connect via Wifi. Speed as high as possible. What do you recommend
What do you recommend?
Im also wondering is It poosible to run windows on a NAS and let my kids play games from steam directly on a Samsung TV from the NAS?
Regards
Morten

Will the Seagate Exos 14TB work properly with the 720+? The compatiblity list doesn't mention this type of hdd for the 710, but other older DS models are mentioned. List not updated yet? Or did I miss something.

DS220+ vs DS210J? |

Hi
First, great You Tube channel. I have a DS210J and it has served me great however I'm heavily getting into photography and found that my DS20J is too slow both to upload 100s of pictures at once and also to access via DLNA. I'm sure it has always been like that but I was a light user before and maybe I didn't mind. I'm ready to upgrade and I'm considering the 220+. My needs is a 2 bay to use one HD as the main one and the second one as the backup + external drive as second backup.
I don't know how much upload/download speed improvement I will get from this or anther Synology that would be worth investing money in it.
