Synology proprietary RAM D4ES03-4G arrival? Is it real?

#1
Hi,

I'm new here and if I am doing anything wrong I will apologize in advance.

I've been looking for proprietary RAM for my Synology DS923+ in the 2nd hand market (in Japan) and I found something that looked to be good but I wasn't sure.

The D4ES03-4G
(in attachment photo because I couldn't post a link)

The seller claims that he/she got this out of the DS923+ that he/she bought.
This must be the successor to D4ES02-4G but I can't seem to see any info on Synology or google.

I was wondering does everyone think this is real? Should I go for it and mix and mach it with my DS923+ that has a D4ES02-4G installed?

Hoping to here anyone's  thoughts.

Thank you,

Hi ed,

Thank you very much for your advice.

The seller lowered the price to 3,980JPY (≒28.07USD≒21.83GBP) so went for it.
It is not on the compatibility list but I will bet on it being added to the compatibility list and I believe that synology must have tested a mix configuration of D4ES03-4G and D4ES02-4G if they are using it for newly manufactured DS923+.

I think I will share my test results with every one here after I get my hands on it.

Thank you again for your advice.

Hi

I've got the D4ES03-4G!

It looks pretty alike D4ES02-4G.

DSM on DS923+ is recognizing it OK. No Warning's in DSM 7.2-64570 Update 1.

RAM test passed.
