I have DAS DROBO 5 system and wish to upgrade before I have to. I have watched lots of you videos but I am left none-the-wiser!

My DROBO has worked well. I have upgraded and replaced disks.

I want to continue and am include to go for 6 disk Synology.

Pl Help.

If you're looking to upgrade from your DAS Drobo 5 system to a 6-disk Synology NAS, the DS1621+ would be a suitable choice. Synology NAS devices offer a similar drive mixing capability like Drobo, utilizing SHR (Synology Hybrid RAID). The DS1621+ comes in two variants, one with a Ryzen CPU and the other with 2.5-inch bays and a Celeron processor. In your case, the DS1621+ with the AMD Ryzen V1500B CPU would be the better fit.
