New HDD for Synology NAS

#1
In Dec 2017 I bought Synology DS218+ and 2x Seagate IronWolf ST8000VN004 8TB
Now, these HDD are full and need to be replaced, mainly because of my RAW images (I'm a photographer).
What would be the best upgrade? I'm thinking about 16/18/20TB where I find 20TB money wise a bit much and I don't know if my NAS allows 20TB.
The NAS still works, or do you think it's better to upgrade the complete set? NAS + HDD.

Thanks!

DS218+ has been tested with 16TB drives https://www.synology.com/en-uk/compatibi...ge_log_p=1
You may not be able to use bigger drives. But with a little bit of SSH command config you may be able to make bigger drives work https://nascompares.com/answer/hdd-compa...d-message/
WD Red plus seem quite and reliable. Ironwolf offers free data recovery.
DS220+ is more powerful and ds 420+ would allow few empty bays for future expansion.
