The 16x slot on the ASUS ROG Strix Z670-E Gaming WiFi motherboard is intended for high-speed PCIe devices such as graphics cards, network cards, or storage devices. However, it's not recommended to install an SSD in the 16x slot since it's designed for other types of devices, and you may not get the full performance of the SSD in that slot.

Instead, you should install your SSD in one of the M.2 slots or one of the SATA ports on the motherboard. If you plan to use the SSD for your operating system and applications, then it's recommended to install the Windows 250GB SSD on the M.2_1 slot, which supports PCIe 4.0 x4 and SATA modes. The 2TB drive can be installed in one of the other available SATA ports.

Before installing the drives, make sure to consult the motherboard manual for instructions on how to properly install and configure them.
