Set up NAS to use PC for transcoding

You also mentioned that Synology has a good guide for how to set up the NAS to use the PC for transcoding, but after searching I cannot find it.

Could you please provide the link to this article?

Also, does this article cover the automation of transcoding on the PC? That is something I would like to understand more about.

Maybe there is no article because it is so simple.
On your PC download and install Plex server.
Then map a NAS drive on your computer if you have not done it already.
Then go to settings in Plex and choose a source to your videos as your mapped network drives.
All transcoding is automated.
Thats all.
