Migration Assistant

#1
I need to migrate 14 TB of data from Synology 1513+ to a 1821+. Can Migration Assistant transfer the data files only, without transferring configuration settings and packages? Or do I have to use the slow Hyper Backup for that? The 1513+ is old, and I don't want to risk transferring bad config settings that might have been changed over the years.
Thanks for all of your YouTube content - best NAS information in the world!

The Synology Migration Assistant can transfer both data and configuration settings from one Synology NAS to another. If you only want to transfer the data files and not the configuration settings and packages, you will need to manually copy the data to the new NAS.

One way to do this is by using a file transfer protocol such as FTP, SMB, or NFS to copy the data from the old NAS to the new NAS. Another option is to use the Hyper Backup tool to create a backup of the data on the old NAS, and then restore it to the new NAS.

Hyper Backup is an option. It will ask if you want to back up settings or only data.
