The Synology DS620slim and the Expansion Unit DX517 are both good options for backing up your data from your DS1621+.

The DS620slim is a compact and lightweight NAS device that offers two drive bays for storage. It is a good option for small businesses or home users who need a secondary backup device for their main NAS.

The Expansion Unit DX517, on the other hand, is an external device that can be attached to a Synology NAS to add more storage capacity. It offers five drive bays and is a good option if you need to expand your storage capacity while still keeping your data in a single location.

SATA is 5X faster than 1GBE LAN.

I hope this helps.
