Hi Guys
Thanks for your videos and advice and I'm still going through it.
I've a drobo 5D3 and need to replace it with a larger unit.
QNAP sent me this [below link] is it viable Im on a 2012 iMac 27" but will be ungrading to the new 24" M1 when I have sorted the storage problem.This looks to0 cheap and too simple but ...

QNAP has very limited non-NAS devices, this is an expansion unit that may work for you.

This is quite simple DAS box (primarily used as an expansion for NAS). No advanced features like drobo drive mixing etc. But as a simple storage unit with software RAID it will work.
