I have many WD40EFRX-68WT0N0 drive in older 1813+ . I want to move to DS1821+ for access to 10gb card.
Have you heard that drive will not work on this newer series of hardware/ software. ?

These WD40EFRX are CMR type of drives. Synology rarely test a full range of drives. But I have only seen issues with their XS series models. Plus series work with all drives.
