M.2

#1
Hi,

I am looking at getting an m.2 SSD for my Asus E410K laptop as it's existing (only 60gb) is almost full simply from the laptop and os alone.

I need something that will allow me to run VMware workstation player on it and a few other cyber security based programs and applications aswell, data recovery etc.

Are most m.2 ssd cross compatible with all devices?

This is the one I am currently looking at purchasing:

Yes, this laptop comes with M.2 NVMe™ PCIe® 3.0 SSD 2280 (8CM long) slot. This means that you can use this https://amzn.to/3W4SDIc SAMSUNG 980 SSD 1TB PCle 3.0x4, NVMe.
Any NVMe would work this laptop. Just make sure it is 2280 standard. And getting gen4 would not result in better performance only a higher price. Since its gen3 slot.

I hope this helps.
