NAS Recommendations

I currently has a qnap TS-251. I use it for data storage and retrieval but it is primarily used for PLEX server. Plex is access via Roku in my home so I run into transcoding issues. I have been told that the ts-251 is a weak NAS for PLEX transcoding. So I want to purchase new QNAP with the power to transcode whatever I through at it so PLEX and Roku are happy.

Yes, you may use the offline transcoding option to generate smaller video files for difficult streaming situations.
But otherwise, you will need 53D or 64 series from Qnap for 1080p transcoding. And 73A series with GPU card for 4k transcoding.
