hi, I'm buying a 4 or 5 bays NAS to use as the main drive (on RAID) for my photography work (files up to 400Mb). One user. Which is the fastest/best option in your opinion?
I m hesitating between the 418, 420+ or 920+ thanks,

All of these models come with 1Gbe (100MB/s) LAN connection.
The functionality is slightly different. DS418 will serve as a backup server and multimedia server (using Synology video app) DS420+ will do all the above and also have Plex support and more backup apps. DS920+ allows more users to do all the above and has the option to connect an expansion box for additional storage. I hope this helps. |
