Really Cheap Drives

#1
Hello Rob!

I hope you are doing well! I've been binge watching your videos on YouTube for the past week gathering info on NAS's and NAS technology. Firstly, I would like to thank you for all your consistent hard work and dedication to this part of the IT field! So, you've probably seen incredibly cheap, generic drives on the internet from sites like eBay. My apologies if you've addressed this before. Here's a link to an example of one of these cheap drives:

Could you possibly check out these types of drives and do a post or video on them? I'm sure this will help many others as well as me. Looking forward to your response.

Best,
Jeremy

I would certainly not use these in a RAID5/6. But if you do need cheap drives for a NAS you can consider Water Panther Drives. These seem to be EXOS drives https://ask.nascompares.com/showthread.php?tid=7556

MaxDigitalData drives could be used in Unraid setup.

I hope this helps.
