First HOME NAS

#1
Hello!

I've been on the lookout for a NAS for some time now, but I just can't seem to make a choice...
Many sites have so many different recommendations which make it even more difficult, and what's also not helping is that I'm the kind of guy that tends to go overkill/futureproof in many cases.

So, my main use for it would simply be storage. It might be used for other things in the future once I get to know the product better.
I'd also love to be able to connect to it over the internet, be it mobile or somewhere offsite. Cloudstorage if you will.

The NAS I had in mind was the Synology DS920+ paired with (for the time being) 2x 8TB drives (also not sure whether to go for WD or Ironwolfs)
Is this a solid choice? Or WAY too much for what i'm going to be using it for?

Love to hear your advice!
