4k Editing NAS?

#1
Hello,

I am starting a year-long filming project and am looking for about 40Tb of useable storage. I have 2 lightning ports on my Windows 10 editing computer and a 1GbE port. I will be filming in and exporting in DCI 4k video that is being filmed mostly at 160Mbps but will have some video that is 410Mbps. I have very limited knowledge when it comes to computers and especially NAS systems, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

The most popular choice among video editors is still the 72XT series from Qnap. You can connect via 10GbE and Thunderbolt simultaneously. Also, built-in NVMe slots can be used for cache or fast storage.CPU will allow direct video editing as well as sharing your 4K projects remotely. It will transcode even 4K videos on the fly.Qnap also offers great backup apps and things like AI in the photo organising suite.I hope this helps.
