Is it possible to upgrade to 16gb RAM for DS416play ?

#1
Greetings,

I'd like to upgrade my DS416play to 16gb RAM. I know you tested it already for 8gb RAM cf : https://nascompares.com/ram/ds416play-ram-upgrade/ ). But I'd like to know for certain if I can go for 1x16Gb directly.

Though, those are hard to find for Belgium => "16GB Crucial CT204864BF160B 16 GB (DDR3L, 1600 MT/s, PC3L-12800, SODIMM, 204-Pin) Memory", I'll try to find an offer, if I find out for sure that it will be compatible. Maybe 16gb is to much ? And I'll should go with 8 gb ?

Thank you for your help,

Warm regards,

Jean D.

You could try this oneCrucial CT204864BF160B 16 GB (DDR3L, 1600 MT/s, PC3L-12800, SODIMM, 204-Pin) MemoryI can not guarantee if it works, but often CPU show an 8GB limit but it still allows the upgrade. Here is how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE6P7F16X7Q&t=355s&ab_channel=JurajBenakLet me know how it goes.I hope this helps.
