Ds3617xs ?

I have 1515+ for home use I like it very much and I want to upgrade because I'm using ds video for my movie and tv show , i have family members connecting on my server to watch some movie and tv shows i can see the CPU goes up from transcoding so its time for upgrade and 5 bay is small now i need 6+ and 2 SSD for cash so that's why I'm thinking of ds3617xs like you said it rooooow power I'm trying to reach 50+ online user for videos 1080p and 720p with no problems
please advice

Yes, ds3617xs comes with lots of power. Even though there is no graphics chip featured on this model, it can easily convert videos on the fly using software transcoding. But I would recommend using an offline transcoding option to create a copy of smaller video versions for online streaming.Qnap TVS-872XT / 782N has fewer HDD bays, but do feature SSD M.2 cache and transcoding chip which will keep NAS performance stable even during the transcoding process. Something to consider.I hope this helps.
