QNAP ROUTER ?

#1
I currently own the AMPLIFI HD mesh router and was contemplating adding the
NETGEAR 8-Port Multigigabit Smart Managed Pro Switch with 2x SFP+ Ports (MS510TXM) along with my new QNAP NAS TSH886. But then I saw your video on the new QNAP Router and thought this may in fact be a better solution for my small set up... I only need to connect 1x MACPRO 2019 to the NAS and one other Computer for file management. The Netgear switch is a little overkill but I still like my current router https://amplifi.com/amplifi-hd.. so I could get the NETGEAR switch and the new https://amplifi.com/alien which supports wifi 6.. or just get the The QNAP QHora-301W, Im very confused. How is the qnap interface and is there a Moible app to manage it?? thanks for your advise. Todd.

Having a switch at home is something you will need sooner or later. Relying just on a router/ WiFi is not enough. In the best-case scenario, you would get 1GbE wirelessly, but in order to get 10GbE speeds, you need a cable. Either CAT6a or CAT7 or SFP+ type, whichever you like most.Temporarily you can always connect your NAS directly with your computer without a switch. But if it is located somewhere away, closer to the router then switch will be a way to do it.If you have an existing AMPLIFI HD mesh system, Qnap router would just complicate things. Rather get a switch instead of a router. Whichever is the cheapest https://www.qnap.com/en-uk/product/series/switchesYou can then maintain your WiFi6 and 10GbE simultaneously.I hope this helps.
