Currently have a Terramaster F2-421

main requirement is a Nas to back up Photos from my mobile, that i can also access from my mobile, that my wife can use without any effort

Thanks for reaching out! If your main priority is photo backup from mobile with easy access and zero fuss for your wife, then your current Terramaster F2-421 can still handle this well — but the stock Terramaster mobile app (TNAS Mobile) can be hit or miss in terms of polish and user experience.

If simplicity is key, I’d recommend switching to Synology or QNAP, which offer much smoother mobile backup apps:
• Synology Moments or Synology Photos has the best “Google Photos-style” experience for automatic mobile photo backup and browsing.
• QNAP QuMagie is also user-friendly and has AI-powered face/object sorting.

Look at models like:
• Synology DS224+ or DS423+ (great for Photos, mobile apps, and file sharing, easy for family use)
• QNAP TS-262 or TS-464 (good balance of power, supports multimedia and hybrid backup features)
