I have looked around the blog and I saw that you recommended ugreen nas for photos as there system is more advanced in AI over synology.
So I’m think of purchasing DXP2800 for starts but worried for some reasons if you can explain to me:
1. Is there a limit on number of accounts for ugreen? If I purchase DXP2800 or DXP4800+? As I will share the NAS with my family and friends probably.
2. Will you recommend 2800 or 4800+? And what size of storage to buy?
3. What type or brand of HDD? Redbox or iron wolf pro or another ?
4. If I started with the DXP2800 and wanted more storage can I buy another 2 or 4 bay nas and connect them together under the same account?
5. There is no dealer for ugreen in Bahrain so I will make an order online and ship it. Is there a place that you recommend to buy from and if they provide international warranty?
Thanks for your help .

Thanks for reaching out with your questions about the Ugreen NAS!
User Account Limits:
Ugreen NAS devices like the DXP2800 and DXP4800+ generally don’t have a strict limit on the number of user accounts. They are designed to support multiple users for family and friends sharing. However, performance may vary if you have many simultaneous users, so keep that in mind.
Choosing Between DXP2800 and DXP4800+:
If your main use is photos and documents with family sharing, the DXP2800 is a solid start. The DXP4800+ offers more power and bays, which is great if you anticipate needing larger capacity or more users in the future. If your budget allows and you want to future-proof, I’d lean towards the 4800+.
Drive Recommendations:
For reliability, drives like Seagate IronWolf Pro or Western Digital Red Plus are excellent choices for NAS use. Both have firmware optimized for NAS workloads and good endurance. Avoid desktop drives as they aren’t built for 24/7 operation.
Expanding Storage Across Multiple NAS Units:
You can buy additional NAS units like another 2 or 4-bay model and link them for access, but they will generally act as separate devices. Some NAS brands offer syncing or backup between units, but Ugreen’s ecosystem might have some limits here. It’s good to check their official documentation or support for multi-unit management features.
Where to Buy & Warranty:
Since there’s no dealer in Bahrain, ordering from well-known online stores like Amazon or Ugreen’s official website is usually your best bet. Look for sellers that offer international warranty and reliable customer service. Also, check shipping policies and return options before purchasing.

I require a guest account for all employees to access our company share. We are not going to create individual accounts or require our employees to have a login and password for a share that can only be accessed on the LAN. There is no remote access turned on for security reasons.
We use the guest account on our Synology, our QNAP, our AsusStor and our TerraMaster NAS devices.
How do we use the guest access on the UGREEN DXP4800Plus? Apart from using the console and Telnet, which is far too complex, where in the GUI is the feature to enable the guest account similar to every single competitor NAS?
Any help will be appreciated, because we have exhausted all efforts and will need to return the unit if UGREEN has removed this option that every competitor has always offered.
Thank you,
Carey Holzman
