2 bay Qnap restructure

Hello lads, i have a 2 bay Qnap from about 5 years ago and it’s been ok with a 4TB Samsung 870 qvo (I think) in each bay. I was thinking about getting a QDA-A2AR and putting the 2 samsung SSDs in bay one as a stripe to double storage and putting an 8TB hdd in bay 2 for NAS backup, My question is, would the system allow this and would it work ?
