I work for a university in the US, running daily video operations in our auditorium. This involves recording our ISO feeds from each of our cameras, editing past events (events happen daily), and a miscellany of other storage-intensive tasks. I inherited a NAS from my predecessor two years ago, which has been a workhorse for video editing, collaboration, and data management (specs above). We also love its ability to sync files to the cloud as a backup (in our case Microsoft), but unfortunately, we’re losing cloud storage from Microsoft sometime in the summer,. I’m working on preparing us for when the day comes.
