HOME NAS STORGAE ADVICE NEWBIE

#1
hello,

I'm on the market for a home-based NAS, im new to the NAS stuff.
I currently have a USB 1tb storage but would like to create a NAS that I can remote in when I'm on the road for business to have full access to my files. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Considering your requirements and being new to NAS setups, the Synology DS223 would be a solid choice for your basic needs. It's user-friendly, offers reliable file sharing, photo management, and surveillance capabilities. However, if you find yourself needing extras like Docker support and system-level backups, stepping up to the DS224+ would be a wise move. It provides additional features and flexibility, ensuring you're well-equipped for both current and future needs. Happy NAS shopping!
