Connect to Nas with 2 different IP networks

#1
Is it poss to connect to a QNAP TS-873A using 2 different IP addresses ie 192.168.0.5 and 192.168.1.5

I have the first mapped at \\QNAP1\Main on the 192.168.0.5 on my pc and works. so i can access is by typing \\QNAP1\Main

But when i try to Map the 2nd one , I can only use the IP address.
I need to have a mapped drive on the 192.168.1.5 as \\QNAP1\Main as well because of the naming when i save to SMB shares. not sure if this is even poss to have the same name?

I need to save the data from my PC on the 2.5Gb 192.168.1.5

and then everything on the 1Gb 192.168.0.5 network can see the data.

tks

Yes, it is possible to connect to a QNAP TS-873A using two different IP addresses. However, for proper functioning, you need to ensure that both IP addresses are on the same subnet. From your description, it seems you have one IP address on the 192.168.0.x subnet and another on the 192.168.1.x subnet.

To resolve this, consider changing the IP address of the QNAP NAS to be on the same subnet as your PC (either 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x). Once both devices are on the same subnet, you should be able to map network drives using the same name (e.g., \QNAP1\Main) for both IP addresses.

After adjusting the IP addresses, try mapping the drive again, and this should allow you to save data from your PC on both networks.
