NAS Drive for Plex and Freelance Media archive storage

I am looking for a NAS Drive to use as a Plex server and Media archive storage for freelance videography projects.

Is it possible to have drives for separate use cases and not diminish the Plex server capability.

Any resources to digest or advice is much appreciated.

Yes, you can use a NAS for multipurpose. You can run a Plex server, file server, surveillance and virtual machines at the same time.
Just like a normal computer, NAS capabilities will also depend on the hardware you find inside.
A simple local Plex server and file server can be achieved with a simple DS218play or similar model.
