Is DS925+ setup with non-Synology drives possible?

I would purchase a DS925+ if I can set it up with Seagate drives without too much trouble.

Can you confirm it's easy/possible?

Yes, you can set up a DS925+ with Seagate drives without any real difficulty. Synology removed the strict drive restrictions from the Plus series, so you can install standard NAS drives such as Seagate IronWolf or IronWolf Pro and complete the setup normally. DSM may show a small notification that the drives are not Synology branded, but it does not block installation or RAID creation, and the system runs as expected.

So if the DS925+ fits your needs, you can go ahead with Seagate drives and use the system just like any other Synology NAS.
