The right NAS

Hi, I have Proxmox cluster (3 nodes) that run k8s cluster (3 nodes) and I want to add a NAS to that party.

NAN job: Contain Proxmox backup, K8s backup, Plex streaming content (the app currently running in k8s) like 80gb movies, and my personal data like documents/pictures.
I'm thinking about 2x WD Red pro of 6TB each in raid 1.

To be clear, NAS budget is 700$ for diskless.
I'm going to order it from Amazon, but not sure which brand and model is best for now with the headroom for the next years.

Your plan to use two 6TB WD Red Pro drives in RAID 1 is solid for redundancy and reliability, and both of these NAS models will handle that setup perfectly.

If your focus is stability and backup management, choose Synology DS925+. If you want more flexibility and Plex performance, go for QNAP TS-464.
