Is it possible to mount a macOS SMB share in DSM 7.2? I have tried using CIFS but keep getting an authentication error in DSM. I know that the username and password is correct as the same share is mounted on my Windows laptop. I can’t find ANY info on the internet that suggests that this is possible so I am beginning to think it’s not possible. Thanks in advance

Try these steps:
Open File Station on your Synology NAS.
Click on "Tools" in the top menu, then select "Mount Remote Folder".
In the "Mount Remote Folder" window, select "SMB/CIFS" as the file protocol.
Enter the server address of your macOS SMB share in the "Server" field. This typically looks like smb://<server_address>.
Enter the folder path of your shared folder in the "Remote Folder" field.
Enter your macOS username and password in the appropriate fields.
Click "Next" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the mounting process.
If you encounter an authentication error, double-check that the username and password you entered are correct and that the macOS SMB share is configured to allow access from your Synology NAS. Additionally, ensure that the macOS SMB share is using SMB version 2 or higher, as older versions may not be compatible with DSM 7.2.
