Nas for small business and plex

#1
My wife and I have 2 small business and are looking for a general storage solution where we can store our data.

Both companies standard documents and media.

Additionally, we could like to host our own media library (using Plex or Jellyfin).

What can you recommend for our use case? (NAS, drives, RAID)

For your use case, a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device would be the best option. It allows you to store, manage, and access your data from multiple devices over a network, and also has the capability to host a media library using software like Plex or Jellyfin.

In terms of drives, you may consider using multiple hard drives in a RAID configuration for data redundancy. This means if one drive fails, your data is still accessible from the other drive(s). You can choose from various RAID configurations, such as RAID 1 (mirroring) or RAID 5 (striping with parity).

I would recommend plus series models such as ds220+/ ds420+ that supports multimedia.
