Only Qnap allow GPU cards.
With Synology you could go for Xeon based models. You should be able to simply move drives to the new NAS.
Alternatively, you can use offline transcoding. This will generate an additional video file which is a smaller or different file format. If you use Plex it will automatically pick and play the compatible version of the file without a need for on the fly conversion.
