WD will be limited in many ways, but Synology will certainly do this and much more. You could start with DS218+ or DS718+ if you need more future-proofing.You can then use Synology apps to Sync all your devices and access multimedia on various devices. It is quite easy to use compared to other NAS brands.I hope this helps.
