Help needed b/w 4TB WD Red Pro / WD Gold / Seagate Ironwolf Pro?

#2
Replacing a single drive to a WD Gold would not make much sense. But you can do it if there is nor WD Pro replacement drive available for sale any more. Mixing different cache cache drive would not effect things. Cache is used for HDD internal caching operations. RAID doesn't need it. Pro and Gold drives are not effected by SMR scandal. Only WD Red 2/3/4/6 TB. You can read more here:https://nascompares.com/answer/how-to-tell-a-difference-between-dm-smr-and-non-smr-cmr-drives-hdd-compare/I hope this helps.
