Buying advice

#1
Big fan of the channel.

I've been gifted an old QNAP TS431P with some 1TB drive. Currently set up a raid5 and experimenting etc. plan to upgrade the drives and snapshot backup to this and potentially buying a flash NAS like the Beelink ME mini or possibly pro with Zima OS as I also meant to run home assistant, possibly immich and explore what else is possible by playing around before final usage.

Advice I need
1. Is this a good idea?
2. For basic\newbs could I get away with the N95 or should I future proof and get N150?
3. As the pro is a hybrid, would you still recommend the Mini taking into account I have a working albeit very old SATA NAS unit.

900 characters not enough but your advice would be greatly appreciated ?
