buying my first nas

#2
Thanks for getting in touch. The DH4300 Plus is a solid first NAS and will easily handle Immich, Plex or Jellyfin, and multiple Docker containers for four to six users. The Intel N100 has enough power for indexing and background tasks and UGOS Pro has matured well for photo management.

For drives you do not need to overspend. RAID five with four bays works best with either four times twelve terabytes or four times sixteen terabytes depending on your budget. Twelve terabytes usually gives the best price per terabyte right now. Seagate IronWolf and WD Red Plus are both fine choices. You only need to consider enterprise models like EXOS if the NAS will run very heavy workloads. For home use the standard NAS drives are perfect.

Buying two sets of everything is a good idea and both systems will behave the same way as long as you install the same UGOS version. And yes, you can link UGOS Pro to your own domain using the built in DDNS feature or by pointing an external domain to your public IP, then creating the appropriate port forward. This allows you to access the NAS without using the UGREEN relay service.
