NAS for a small architecture studio

#1
Hello,

I’m looking for a NAS that would let us work with files directly on the NAS (locally, with RAID 1/5) and also run a few side services (Immich, VPN, etc.). Up to now we’ve had a QNAP TS-219P II that was only used for storing old files, but it’s reached its limits (access times too long, multiple crashes). Ideally I’m after a 4-bay NAS that’s stable, low-maintenance, and upgradeable (2.5/10 Gbps network card, expansion unit). Initially I wanted to avoid QNAP and go with Synology instead (I have a personal unit I’m very happy with), but Synology’s recent decisions around storage have put me off. So I was thinking of getting a used or refurbished 923+ or 1522+. What do you think?
