NAS Q670 Plus MB Features

#2
You’re correct in what you’ve noticed. The CWWK Q670 Plus board doesn’t expose Intel RST or VMD options in the BIOS. That’s consistent with what I’ve seen and what others have reported too — it just doesn’t implement those features on this platform. So you won’t be able to set up an M.2 RAID 1 at the BIOS/firmware level using Intel’s Rapid Storage Technology or VMD.

If you still want RAID 1 for your OS, you can handle that at the OS level (Windows 11 can mirror two drives in Disk Management, or you could use a software RAID in Linux/TrueNAS). Alternatively, sticking with your plan to use the MegaRAID 9460-8i for your main storage array makes sense — that’s a proper hardware RAID solution and much more robust than motherboard RAID anyway.

On the vPro side: the board is capable of supporting it, but it depends on having the right CPU (like an i5/i7/i9 with vPro support) and enabling it in the BIOS if the option is exposed. Not all CPUs or network chips support full AMT/vPro functionality, even if the board itself is marketed as “vPro capable,” so double-check your CPU and NIC.
