I've actually done something similar. The key is to make sure both locations have stable internet, then use port forwarding or a VPN to securely connect the IP cameras to the NAS. I’d recommend setting up a dynamic DNS if your IP changes often. Also, make sure your NAS supports remote access and the right camera protocols (like ONVIF or RTSP).
