You only need to use either Molex or SATA, not both, to power each drive bay PCB—whichever your PSU setup makes easier. Just make sure each backplane is powered by one type of connector, not mixed.

2b) Replacing them with PWM Noctuas is a great idea, and yes, you can absolutely connect them directly to your motherboard for full fan curve control via BIOS or software—that’s actually the preferred way for quieter, more efficient cooling.
