I opted to purchased 2*1 tb ssd and initially set them up as 1 for operating system and apps, the other as a cache. It seemed to work fine for a while but as soon as I set up Plex with over 15 tb of tv files, it was using full resources and eventually I had to reinstall the TOS 5 and lost all my data on the TRAID.
I am not sure what went wrong but suspect the Plex metadata may have exceeded the storage capacity on the ssd or overheated but there was no warnings.
Before reinstalling Plex on new TRAID of 47 TB, I need clarification of whether there is an issue with installing Plex on an ssd. My Plex server will contain over 30 TB of Movie and TV series non of which are in 4K.
