Sorry, for the confusion. SSD will surely improve the performance in every possible way (IOPS and general data transfer speeds).
The only thing you may worry about is the general LAN bottleneck. 1Gbit LAN only mean 100MB/s transfer speeds. But it is possible to use 5GbE USB LAN adapter.
