Hi.
I got tho das arrays, 40 tb lacio 5big, 12tb promise pegasus,
Im tired of the noise, I fear for reliability and I don't generally like any of them.
I want flexibility, speed and network options for remote access and client clouds is very appealing.
My though is to get an ssd raid, 32 tb for in the room always on storage, 6 bays populated in raid with my existing ironwolf pro 8tb disks and two 16tb bays with maybe exos for raid 1 archives.
Like I offload to the big raid (6 bays), work from my ssd's (which should also hold all my librarys, expansions, plugins and all that stuff that is kind of a part of my system) and the archive (two bays) could probably have som automatic backup pattern from the raid.
I'm thinking 8bay.
I've been looking int nas solutions for a long time and I can't find what I need, which way to go. Synology or qnap.
I'm happy for suggestions and guidance. Budget is also in consideration of need and common sense, but I want to get it right.
