Hi,
We have a requirement for NAS in our small 10 member CFA firm.
Our office has 1 iMac (used as a file server), 10 Mac Mini and 1 smb windows desktop. All the devices are connected to the network using LAN cables.
We are running out of storage on our iMac and require a NAS to replace it.
We have a very simple requirement of using the NAS to access files stored on it. The end user will open the file using the NAS, work on the file and save it.
We would be open to the possibility of accessing the NAS when at a client site but the security is a major concern for us (ransomware)
Our current data size is about 2.5 TB and it looks like it will grow. This will be our first NAS after horrible past experience with WD MyCloud and Seagate Black Armour when ransomware infected all our data
We are undecided between Synology or QNAP and also between a 2 bay or a 4 bay NAS. Need your help selecting a suitable NAS
