Hi!

I was wondering what are the differences in between the QNAP Ts 462 vs 464 besides RAM? Would I be able to upgrade the RAM on a TS 462 to 4GB to effectively get a TS 464 on a cheaper price?

You will get extra 2 CPU cores on ts-464. You also get an additional LAN port and more RAM.
As a simple file server, there is no noticeable performance difference. But if you use it for virtual machine or video transcoding, you will make use of these extra 2 cores.
Either of these models allows RAM upgrades.
