NAS advice

#1
Hi, I really like your YouTube channel and would appreciate some advice please.
I am looking to get my first NAS, primarily to backup 2 laptops and additional storage.
I’m not sure I will ever get round to setting up Plex etc.
Is there a recommended unit for this?
I have looked at Asustor Drivestor2 as a cheap option but would you recommend I spend a bit more on something like QNap TS-453D or equivalent Synology? I don’t have a definite budget but don’t mind spending a little more if it is suitable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as there is a lot of choice in the NAS world.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks

Asustor do not have any decent computer backup software.
Qnap is a better choice, but not the best. With Qnap you can select what folders to backup. You can go for any of their models. It doesn't need to be 53D series.
Synology will do the best job here. If you go for value series models such as ds420J, you can back up certain folders similar to Qnap. But if you get plus series models such ds920+ you will get free app called active backup for business. This will allow system disk backups and more.

I hope this helps.
